Casas Del Sol

Casas Del Sol is an established complex of bungalows situated in the old town close to the harbour in Playa Blanca. The public areas are beautifully landscaped with vibrantly coloured plants and flowers bounded by walls of natural volcanic stone. It boasts excellent heated family swimming and toddler pools, both of which have a dedicated lifeguard on watch every day. The reception area at the entrance to the complex is manned by very friendly, helpful staff who speak several languages as well as English. The reception has a small shop for purchasing essentials and a lounge with internet access and a variety of paperback books to borrow too. For those who enjoy sport, Casas del Sol has two full size tennis courts and within a few minutes walk there are bicycles available for hire. Water sports such as windsurfing and sailing are easily accessed at the nearby beaches with pedalos, paragliding, jet skiing and banana boat rides available too.
Playa Blanca

Within 100 metres of Casas Del Sol is the harbour with a regular ferry service between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. This is also the midway point of the promenade which stretches for several kilometres, from the natural beaches at Papagayo to the lighthouse at Faro Point. The views along the length of this beautiful walkway are stunning. There are three golden, sandy beaches within 15 minutes walk of the villa and others further along the promenade. The town of Playa Blanca itself has a large variety of shops selling quality goods such as clothing, electronics, perfumes and traditional souvenirs. There are also plenty of places to purchase those swim shorts you forgot to pack and the all important bucket and spade! The town has many first class restaurants, catering for all tastes and there is nothing more enjoyable than having a meal sitting outside a beachside restaurant just a few metres from the sea.
Lanzarote

This astonishing island is a glimpse of our world as it was eons ago when just formed. The volcanic lava flows that form the island are amazing to see. For those interested in geology it is a wonderland to behold with its “Fire mountain” still active enough to permit flame grilled cooking to be carried out atop the volcano. The island has some 300 volcanoes.
There is so much to see that hiring a car is essential for the curious who wish to explore, whilst for others more content to chill out there is no need to leave Playa Blanca. Some of the highlights being Fire Mountain, the Green Caves and the Cactus gardens.
